Chapter 02 / The story
From Lucknow, with a voice.
Born Twinkle Bajpai in Lucknow, she began performing at eleven and stepped into the national spotlight as a finalist on Zee TV's Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge in 2005.
Television arrived first / a lead role in Ghar Ki Lakshmi Betiyann, then a run on Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. Cinema followed with Vikram Bhatt's Haunted 3D in 2011, India's first stereoscopic 3D feature and her debut as a leading lady.
A rare double credit / she also sang for the film, and again for Maqbool Khan's Lanka the same year, work that won her the Mirchi Music Award for Upcoming Female Vocalist. Since then, a filmography that runs from horror sequels to independent drama, and in 2020, her first international solo album, Upgrade.
