Fanaa: India's first ever horror music video
September 2026 / Tia Bajpai & Arian Romal
Fanaa, the new single by composer Arian Romal starring Tia Bajpai, is being described across Indian media as the country's first ever horror music video. It is a form Indian pop has never committed to fully: a song and a horror short film told as one piece.
For Tia Bajpai, whose screen career began with Vikram Bhatt's Haunted 3D and 1920: Evil Returns, the horror video is a homecoming. The Horror Queen of Bollywood returns to the genre that made her, this time as the centre of a haunting visual narrative rather than a performance to camera.
"There were moments on set that were genuinely intense, but that is also what made the experience exciting and memorable," she told Newspatrolling.
